Join us every Thursday evening beginning at 7pm for our single-session ODU/COLLEGE APPRECIATION POTTERY WHEEL CLASS, and get a crash course with hands-on instruction in our fully equipped Pottery and Ceramics studio at 1511 Colley Ave in beautiful Ghent Norfolk, right next to The NARO Theater.

Students will learn the following:

• • • Basics of Clay
    • Pottery Wheel Basics
    • Steps to creating on the Pottery Wheel – Wedging, Centering, etc.
    • Use of basic tools

Attendees will choose their best piece to have fired in our kiln along with glaze color, and are then able to return in approximately 4 weeks to pick up their item!

** Please note that while we are careful and attentive with all pottery fired in our studio, results are NOT GUARANTEED and we are not liable for any items that may not make it through the kiln firing. This is a fact of life when working with ceramics.

• Age Restrictions: 14 and up. Under 16 must be accompanied by a parent who is also taking the workshop.
• Cost: $55 per person non-ODU / $45 per person ODU OR COLLEGE STUDENT / EDUCATOR / TEACHER with ID OR SCHOOL EMAIL ADDRESS
• PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. DUE TO THE LENGTH OF THIS CLASS, NO REFUNDS OR RESCHEDULING ARE ALLOWED.
• PICKUP OF YOUR COMPLETED ITEM – Your pottery will be ready for pickup 4 WEEKS after your class date. Pickup times are ONLY FRIDAYS 5 to 7pm and SATURDAYS 2 to 4pm. Please note that YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A CALL TO NOTIFY YOU THAT YOUR ITEMS ARE READY. Items remaining at the studio beyond 60 days after class is complete may be reclaimed or donated to charity at the Studio’s discretion. 

Cost: $45 PER PERSON ODU/COLLEGE RATE – $55 per person – non-ODU/COLLEGE
