About The Dragonfly
At The Dragonfly Art Studio, we strive for a creative and fun atmosphere welcoming to established local artists as well as those working to perfect their craft, and we're always open to comments and suggestions. We have many programs for adults and children from Pottery Wheel classes to our popular After School Art programs for kids in 1st through 8th grade, plus 2026 will be our 15th YEAR of our SUMMER ART CAMPS.
Maggie O'Hara Hudson, a local art teacher with over 29 years of experience, opened The Dragonfly Art Studio in 2016, and after several successful years relocated to our current 2,000 square foot location at 1511 Colley Ave in the beautiful and historic Ghent area of Norfolk, directly adjacent to The NARO Theater. In 2025, The Dragonfly expanded to it's second location, The Dragonfly Loft, located just a block down the street, at 1611 Colley Ave.
