Ever wondered if working with clay on the Pottery Wheel was right for you? Are you curious about ceramics and pottery and want to see what it’s all about?
Join us in our single-session ONE DAY WITH CLAY Pottery Wheel workshops every Monday evening 4:30 to 6pm, and get a crash course with hands-on instruction in our fully equipped Pottery and Ceramics studio at 1511 Colley Ave in beautiful Ghent Norfolk, right next to The NARO Theater.
Students will learn the following:
- Basics of Clay
- Pottery Wheel Basics
- Steps to creating on the Pottery Wheel – Wedging, Centering, etc.
- Use of basic tools
- Additional steps – Kiln Firings, Glazing
Attendees will choose their best piece along with a glaze color, which will then be trimmed and glazed and can be picked up at the studio in approximately 2 weeks.
** Please note that while we are careful and attentive with all pottery fired in our studio, results are NOT GUARANTEED and we are not liable for any items that may not make it through the kiln firing. This is a fact of life when working with ceramics.

Age Restrictions: 14 and up, Under 16 must be accompanied by a parent who is also a paid participant in the workshop
Cost: $45 per person
